Yes—it varies by property and season. Minimums are typically higher when booking further out and during peak periods (think Michigan summers or holiday weeks). They often drop closer to arrival for last-minute bookings.
Spotted an open date that seems off or want to discuss availability? Reach out! We respond fast, and direct bookings give us flexibility to make things work when we can.
Our properties ARE dog friendly homes and dogs on reservation are welcome with paid pet fees.
-A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed at $125/per dog per stay.
Guest Courtesy Requests:
• Guests are expected to properly pick up and bag dog waste and dispose of into properly tied waste bags. We do offer “poop bags” at our properties to ensure this expectation is easily maintained.
• Please make sure your pup takes their potty breaks outdoors and not on balconies. As you can imagine, when the snow melts, we’d rather not discover any ‘hidden surprises’—and I’m sure future guests would appreciate that too! Let’s keep things fresh and friendly for everyone.
• We kindly ask dog owners to do their best to keep pups off furniture and bedding. If your furry friend needs to be left unattended in the home, they must be secured in a crate or kennel for their safety and the protection of the space. As you’d expect, any damage to furniture, doors, or other areas caused by nervous pets will be the responsibility of the owner, including repairs or loss of use. We truly appreciate your help in keeping the home comfortable for all guests—both two- and four-legged!
*It is illegal, of note, to misrepresent a dog as a service animal. Service animals are not subject to pet fees. ESA are not considered service animals, they are absolutely welcome but still subject to pet fees.

When booking direct, we highly recommend purchasing the peace of mind that Travel Insurance can bring to your group.
Travel Insurance is a protection plan that protects the guest against unexpected occurrences such as last minute trip cancellation, medical problems or weather interruptions. Instead of having to go back and forth about issuing refunds or requiring guests to lose payments when abiding by the cancellation policy, our insurance provider steps in to pay.
We're a certified partner of RentalGuardian which is licensed to sell travel insurance.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation terms vary by property based on size and booking demand. See each specific property page for details.
PAYMENT + FEES
Across the board though, if you need to cancel within our cancellation window, you'll receive 97% of your payment back. The 3% non-refundable fee covers transaction processing that already has taken place via credit card.
Security Deposit: We don't hold security deposits. Instead, every reservation includes damage waiver coverage for your convenience—giving you peace of mind without tying up funds.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We do highly suggest purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen reasons for cancellation.
Of course! We will ship most items directly to you.
We do need to charge a $25 fee for our teams time in addition to the shipping fees specific to the item.
Please reach out at info@thenest-collective.com (mailto:info@thenest-collective.com)and let us know what we can keep our eyes peeled for, but also please know I will reach always reach out if I have heard from our Turnover Team for items left behind.
We will ask in writing how you want that sent back and the address to have it returned to as well.
